I will publish on this site a selection of my photographs from holidays and so on. What you won’t find is an endless succession of “this is me/us/Mrs S in front of …” shots as I don’t do those. I am much more interested in recording places I have seen, and views of them that interested me. I will include people only when I really don’t have the option or for scale. or where there are too many to exclude – tourists, eh?
All of the digital shots up to April 2018 were taken with my trusty Konica Minolta Dimage Z5, which has the the huge benefit of having a sensational optical zoom – some of the detail shots of the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona show this particularly well. Unfortunately, it has the disadvantage of needing 4xAA batteries and we have now got a bit fed up lugging around spare batteries and a charger. It does take a great photo, though.
I’ve now bought a Sony Cybershot which does take a great picture, and has lots of features that I’m still exploring.
